June thru Mid-September. Fishing is great nearly all day, floats are warm and the evenings come alive almost daily with rising fish. BOOK EARLY; Some of our prime weekends and holidays will fill up fast. There is never a shortage of events in the Valley. Town festivals and live music, highlighted by Mountain Fair in late July, always keep the party alive. A 30 minute drive to Aspen can produce great dry fly action on the upper Roaring Fork, not to mention enough shops, concerts and parades to keep most cities satisfied.

September thru November. Indian summer in Carbondale with comfortable afternoons, cool evenings and incredible scenery. Fishing moves to a more mid-day schedule with action heating up with the day time temps. Road and mountain biking are in there prime. Great time to reserve The Lodge in its entirety for group events (weddings, corporate retreats, family reunions).

December thru April. Powder skiing takes over the focus. Powder is probably the only reason not to be fishing. The “warm before the storm” can produce some incredible action in our back yard. Big Rainbows. Late Winter mid-day hatches begin mid-February and continue until run-off. Our property gets all day sun and rarely has a snowpack or much ice. Our Aspen/Snowmass ski shuttle will make a ski day hassle-free. Backcounty ski days with local guides are sure to please…

April-May. Incredible fishing with little crowds. Plenty of water in the river, sometimes too much. Trips to the Frying Pan for incredible cloudy day hatches can be a ton of fun. The Mother’s Day Caddis hatch is the first heavy hatch of large bugs on local rivers. Take advantage of favorable rates and packages until Memorial Day. Newlyweds sprout as fast as trees, so inquire early.
