Packages are tailored to maximize your recreation and relaxation time. Most of our fishing trips originate or finish on the banks of our property, eliminating drive time from outfitter to accommodations. Our packages allow all guests to customize their stay with ease. Non-fishing guests are always welcome to enjoy a scenic float on our local Rivers. We at The Lodge feel the need to offer you the absolute best fishing experience and guides our local waters have to offer.  Almost all float trips either originate or finish from the banks of our property. It takes only minutes to go from coffee on the porch to the boat! This means you enjoy less time in the shop, more time in the water, with little or no drive time. Our Head Guide, Scott Klahn, is a second generation guide and will do what it takes to ensure you have fun …and I do think he passed the same words of advice to the rest of the staff. 

If you would like fish with a particular guide from Alpine Angling, Roaring Fork Anglers or Taylor Creek fly shops?  Not a problem, we understand and can accommodate with ease.  We work very closely with these companies, especially there float guides. Many of them store there boats next door at our Roaring Fork Marina, Western Colorado’s float fish headquarters.

The abundance of great on site fishing is what sets The Lodge on the Roaring Fork apart from most other accommodations in the area. Our backyard offers sections of stealth slick water fishing, riffle with/pockets, and our favorite “the trench”.  Unfortunately we can’t offer any trout ponds. We do have over a mile of Roaring Fork and Crystal River walking distance from the back porch, easily accessed courtesy the Aspen to Glenwood pedestrian/bike path.  For this reason alone, beginners and experts will love the flexibility The Lodge location gives to their day, whether guided or unguided.

We have been fishing this particular stretch of river year-round since the property was acquired in 2004.  There is no doubt the area consistently produces some of the largest trout in the Roaring Fork River.
